The ESP Photo Project
July-August 2012
Partners: St Lawrence Rec Centre, Pikto, Berkeley Bistro
Maysam (14) and Jennaiya (11), under the guidance and mentorship of professional photographer Laura Dittmann, worked together on creating, from concept to production, the photo exhibition “Fun on The Esplanade”.
Through a series of 6 workshops led by Laura, Maysam and Jennaiya had the opportunity to learn the basics of cameras, photography, Photoshop and captioning. Both Maysam and Jennaiya, who call The Esplanade their home, decided on the exhibition’s theme and curated the photo choice: this exhibition is their voice and their vision of the community.
The exhibition was displayed at the Centre throughout October. In November, the exhibition was moved to the Berkeley Bistro, on The Esplanade.
